By walking up the side of Jacksons lake and through the wood, you reach Cox’s lake. The water in Cox’s feeds down into Jacksons. The lake is approximately two thirds of an acre in size. It has its own fisherman’s hut and is bounded by trees on one side. There is plenty of room for a back cast.
Cox’s lake was drained in the winter of 2014-5, left fallow for a year and extensively landscaped. It has refilled with water and the bankside plants are establishing themselves. Further work will be done in the winter of 2017 to re-profile the banks in some areas and to stop the lake from leaking. In the meantime the lake will not be stocked.
