Lower Figgs is a fifteen minute walk from the main fishing lodge at Great Springs. Alternatively, off road car parking is provided in Upperton Road near the fisherman’s hut.

Lower Figgs is a long shallow lake with several little bays and an island. It is stream fed, mainly from Upper Figgs.

The lake has open moorland on the south side and mature trees along the opposite bank. There is ample room to cast from both sides of the lake and the dam. It has a very good mayfly hatch. The fish rise to buzzers and sedges throughout the season.

It is about one acre and is stocked with  rainbows.
