Upper Figgs is a ten minute walk from the main fishing lodge at Great Springs but if you don’t want to walk, off road car parking is provided at Luffs. Upper Figgs and Lower Figgs share a fisherman’s hut at which you can sign in, weigh and record your catch.
Upper Figgs is a small lake of under half an acre. Located down the valley from Luffs, the backdrop of trees and moorland provide an idyllic location for fly fishing. Here again the trout are free rising. A quiet approach and short casts with a small nymph catches fish cruising along the bankside rushes.
