“A steady week around the fishery. Like many, we are still in need of significant rainfall to restore our stillwater levels and maintain the ecological diversity. Some larger rainbows were amongst the returns. A few sea trout were seen along the river following the Friday downpour, though none were caught.
Successful flies last week included:
Rainbow trout lakes: Beaded stonefly, BFD, GRHE, Daddy, Montana, Cats Whisker, PTN, White nymph, Black gnat, Viva
Brown trout lakes: Klinkhammer, Daddy, Black magic Emerger
River: Beaded stonefly, Classic FM, Daddy, Royal Wulff, Stoat’s tail, Shrimp”
