The very hot weather, reaching over 30 degrees on Wednesday, made it difficult for the fish in most of the lakes. Little Bognor and the river were the most productive places to fish because of the cooler water.
Lakes – Members visited the lakes on 29 occasions and caught a total of 20 fish, all from Little Bognor where the water is cooler, 8 of which were returned. Two of the fish were over 2lb, a wild fish of 12ozs was also caught and returned.
River – Members visited the river on 22 occasions and caught 19 fish, 6 of which were over 2lbs. A fish of 3lb 8ozs was caught on Beat E, the Fish Pass.
In the continuing hot weather it will be best fishing in the early morning and late evening at either Little Bognor or the river.
